Amager Beach Park is Copenhagen’s main beach and is only 5km from the center of the city. The beach is on a small island with an inner lagoon surrounded by sand dunes. There are plenty of activities including sailing, kayaking, surfing and mini golf. There is also a great events program with something for everyone. A very family friendly beach and very easy to get to by public transport with three metro stations in the area. It’s an ideal day out with small children because it has all the facilities you need including playground, toilets, showers and there are kiosks, cafe’s and fruit and veg stalls along the beach.
