Garn Graffitti in Dragør

Kids in Copenhagen

[SEE] Cool things for kids, parents and families to see around Copenhagen that thrill and delight the eye and mind.

If you find yourself walking around Dragør, an unusual art exhibition is installed behind the Dragør Lokalarkiv building. It is called GarnGraffiti and it is spectacular. The colorful yarn intertwine between three trees creating a web of delicious adventures waiting to be explored. Each angle provides a new perspective and a new outlook. Try to catch this before it is removed.  The graffiti was made through a workshop for children by REfleksioner.org in September.  And now, we can enjoy the creative results.

Some activities to do when your there:

  1. Have your child try to follow one colorful thread’s path as it weaves and twists its way through the maze.
  2. Find a ball of yarn ( there are a few lying on the ground) and add your own “point of view” to the bright mess.
  3. Have kids maneuver under and around the maze trying not to get “caught” in the web.
  4. View the graffiti from different angles and see which color attracts your eye.
