Ice Skating in Copenhagen

Ice Skating in Copenhagen

This time of year many outdoor ice skating rinks pop up all over Copenhagen.  Ice Skating is a fun winter activity that the whole family can enjoy.  We have compiled a list of the outdoor and indoor ones that will keep little ones busy on their skates all winter.  Some of these places are open everyday from 10 am – 8 pm between now and the end of February (even on holidays).  This is an easy last minute activity for busy parents with kids who love to skate or looking for a family friendly evening outing.

[NOTE] This is a running list of places to Ice Skate in Copenhagen this winter.  We will be updating it frequently until it is a complete list.  If you have suggestions of locations we have not added yet please feel free to comment and we will surely add them! It takes a community!

OUTDOOR SKATING

Peblinge Sø

Peblinge Sø is a lake which, during some winters, freezes thick enough to skate. The council clear a skate-able track for public use. For obvious health and safety reasons don’t try to skate anywhere which looks wet, is cordoned off, or venture onto any frozen water which isn’t declared safe by the council. Nor should you skate alone or after dark.

 Peblinge Dossering 6, 2200 København, Phone 33 66 33 66

Blågårds Plads

Located half way up a pedestrian street. Plenty of little cafes nearby for a cup of hot cocoa to warm up little hands and tummies.

Havnegade Opdateret

Havnegade is situated right on the edge of the harbour that can be either exciting and beautiful to skate next to the water or nerve racking to some with little ones who don’t have as much control.

Frederiksberg Runddel

Traditional and cute too. This place is open everyday between now and the end of February from 10 am – 8 pm.  Except Christmas even and News Year when they close at 4pm.

Here is a listing of addresses for the outdoor places – please check hours before gathering up the whole tribe for an outing to the Ice.  We will update it too!
