Copenhagen Culture Night is on for October 10th. Museums, theatres and public spaces are open late into the evening for all to explore. It is a magical night that kids love and remember each year. Continue a tradition or start a new one. This is our absolute pick of the week! Here’s a quick link to the events that are categorized as Kids Events. We have, however, scanned the program and picked out a few events to highlight, see below. The evening starts from 6 pm and runs until midnight.
Some events are just open to anyone and no reservations are required but in order to have access to the indoor events on Culture Night a Culture Pass is required. Culture Passes costs DKK 90 and are sold in 7-Eleven in Copenhagen and libraries and cultural institutions around Copenhagen and Frederiksberg.
The Culture Pass is a badge, which gives you free access to all Culture Night events and free public transport. Two children up to and including the age of 11 have free entrance to events and free transport accompanied with an adult in possession of a Culture Pass.
In 2014 a printed version of the program is available in Danish for 10 kr. But you can get it in English on your smart phone…. The Culture Night 2014 App can be downloaded in the App Store and Android Market. On the app you can see what is happening when and where, along with a description of the different events.
Here’s a link to our newsletter this week with our top picks and links to them.
Have a great time!
