Mormor beach is located in the picturesque area of Dragør south of Copenhagen. It’s an excellent beach for children as the sea floor is sandy and you can walk out a long way without the water reaching past waist level. On one side you have views of the Øresund Bridge between Sweden and Denmark and on the other the natural beauty of the south meadows. On your walk down to the beach you will pass Dragør’s famous geese in their home known as the ‘Goose Republic’. For older children who are confident swimmers Dragør sea baths are at the pier at the end of the beach. Dragør has many attractions including the old village, fort, harbour, museum and shops.
