Historic observation tower

Rundetårn – the round tower is a historic building in the centre of the city and a Copenhagen icon. Originally built as an observatory it serves as a fantastic observation tower with great views of the city. It is a cylindrical tower with a 210m spiral ramp which turns 7.5 times around the central core of the building. So basically you walk all the way up to the top and of course run all the way down again! Kids love the exercise and it’s a great activity in all weathers (except fog) as the view is always guaranteed to impress. You can’t take prams or pushchairs up the tower but you can leave them in a parking area at the bottom of the tower.
